Dr. Jacob Brown: grew up in Mansfield, Ohio and is a graduate of Mansfield Christian High School. He received his Optometry degree with honors from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, receiving the BSK Silver Metal for academic achievement. In Optometry school, he received high quality training in primary eye care, in managing ocular disease, and in fitting both soft and ridged contact lenses. Upon graduating, Dr. Brown continued his education by completing a residency in pediatrics, vision therapy, and neuro-optometric rehabilitation with Dr. Barry Tannen, OD, FCOVD, FAAO in Hamilton Square, NJ. He obtained extensive experience managing binocular vision conditions and has a passion for pediatrics, vision training, and neuro-rehabilitation with traumatic brain injury and post-concussion patients. He is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the American Optometric Association, and the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with family and friends and being outdoors playing sports, hiking, and kayaking.

Dr. Kevin Brown: was raised in Mansfield, Ohio and is a graduate of Lexington High School.  He completed his undergraduate studies then went on to receive his Masters in physiological optics as well as his Doctor of Optometry degrees from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1994.  Dr. Brown served in the United States Air Force as both as a Captain and Optometrist at Keesler AFB in Biloxi Mississippi from 1994-1997.  In 1997, Dr. Brown moved “home” to practice with his father, Dr. Donald Brown at his Lexington Avenue location and with Dr. Robert Brenner at his Park Avenue West location, to present. He has also served as a clinical instructor for the Optometry College at OSU. Dr. Kevin Brown is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, and the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce. He enjoys spending time with his wife Susie and kids Jacob, Hannah (licensed PT Assistant), and Stephen (Physicians Assistant) and daughter in law Addalyn (Teacher at Lexington, Ohio).

Dr. Carolyn (Carly) Thomas: grew up in Strongsville, OH and graduated from Strongsville High School. She completed her undergraduate degree at Ohio Northern University, where she also played varsity basketball, and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. During her time at Ohio State and multiple private practices, Dr. Thomas has gained experience with pediatrics, binocular vision, ocular disease, contact lenses, and primary care optometry. She enjoys working with primary care physicians and other specialists to provide coordinated care of the ocular and overall health of her patients. Dr. Thomas started with Brown Family Eye Care in November 2020 and currently works part-time in Sunbury, OH as well. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and Ohio Optometric Association and strives to help patients of all ages achieve comfortable, functional vision. Dr. Thomas enjoys living with her husband in Butler where they tend a garden and honeybees. They also enjoy camping, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
